Description | 3-Bromomethcathinone (3-BMC) is one of many designer synthetic cathinones that has been sold on the illicit drug market.1 3-BMC is structurally related to US regulated Schedule I controlled substance methcathinone (DEA #1237). The only difference between the two compounds is that 3-BMC has a bromine in the meta position on the phenyl ring. It has been published that 3-BMC acts as serotonin and norepinephedrine reuptake inhibitors. |
